Olay Aquaction Moisturizer Long lasting hydration gel Review

If you follow my Fb page, You probably already know that I'm currently testing out the Olay Aquaction Moisturizer long lasting hydration gel. I bought this product at Guardian and paid for discounted price around Rm48. I saw this product tested by a lot of bloggers and I wanted to try it myself and let you guys know my reaction to it, whether it is good or not so good ? I was so nervous on the first day of trying, because I scare that it's not as good as what other writing about. But finally Tried and tested myself ! It works !!
Olay Aquaction range is for hydration to the skin. All skin type is suitable for this product. This is light texture moisturiser not leaving you feeling oily but it can lock up your skin moisture up to 12 hours. This is a Moisturizer, and you are going to use it after cleansing, toner and your serum/ essence, after applying this moisturiser, don't forget to apply your Sunblock.
This is my 100% honest review.

How to use: Use after cleansing take appropriate amount apply to face and neck.

It claim to give 24 hours intensive hydration which means, you apply morning and night and it will hydrate your skin for 12 hours.
This product contain 2 main ingredient - WSK (holding water on your skin (better than hyaluronic acid ) and Niacinamide that perform to lock the moisture on the skin better.

Let's test the moisture Level :

Before I started to use this moisturiser My skin moisture level was around 37%. And two weeks after using this products, My skin moisture level gone up to 44% and never get back to below 40%. I was really impressed by this result.

This is experiment on my hand today:

The result shows that my hand moisture level at 32.3%, and after I applied a layer of Olay long lasting hydration gel and the moisture level gone up to 58.9% which is higher that normal reading- after application of moisturiser. Normally the difference for after and before moisturiser would be between 15-20 % , but this olay moisturiser shows that it can give until 26.6% improvement. After 5 hours, it drops to 45.2% which is still giving a higher reading than my before application. This product really show that it can help moisturise the skin for more than 5 hours.

Pros:

-moisturised the skin up to 7 hours ( for my personal experience, because I tested the moisture level after 7 hours and it still higher than before my application) - skin feeling smooth - skin look more supple - light texture - non oily ( If you have oily skin take appropriate amount according to your face condition, but if you have dry skin you can actually apply it generously) - quick absorption - no sensitive reaction - skin refreshing - instantly look hydrated skin

Cons:
- definitely not fan of jar container, because it's not hygienic for daily use, you need to dig in to get the product, prefer it in a pump bottle - contain fragrance , ethylparaben

Overall, I think this is a good moisturiser. For a drug store product Rm59.90 50g it is more expensive than other product but it is cheaper that counter brand. And you can definitely feel your skin is more hydrated after using it. I have combination towards dry skin, and my skin around eyebrows sometime very dry and flaky skin. I apply generous amount on it, and the next day no more flaky skin. If you have dry skin, you will see your skin sagging, after you give hydration to it, your skin look fuller and soft. So it is important to keep hydrating your skin to look firmer and fresh . This product really does the job to hydrate and moisturise my skin. Not only it give instantly hydrate and moisturise for the day, I notice that my skin is getting better on the moisture level, I started to use it and my skin is only 37% but after 2 weeks, although I didn't apply the moisturiser my skin maintain at 40%- 45%. So I really recommend this product for those who are looking for a light texture moisturiser and it hydrate and moisturise your skin.
